Conservation Employee Training

Conservation Employee Training

A conference-style event that aims to support conservation district staff. The conference is delivered in “tracks” to support any soil & water conservation professional. Our goal for this event is to give district staff the ability to learn, share ideas, and connect.

District Idea Sharing

North Carolina has 96 soil and water districts, and each operates differently. The CET offers a chance for districts to learn through stories and bring ideas back to their local communities.

Networking

It’s important for staff to make connections and show support across the state. These relationships keep our soil & water partnership vibrant with progress in conservation methodologies.

Field Trips

Outdoor and on-site learning are an important part of this conference. It’s important for attendees to see work that’s not in their “backyard”. Attendees should learn from those lessons for their own objectives.

Better Together

The 2026 CET will be held at the Koury Convention Center, part of the Sheraton Greensboro at Four Points, in Greensboro, NC, from October 5-8, 2026.
